SEOUL, Jan 11 (Reuters) - South Korea's telecommunications regulator said on Tuesday that Apple had submitted plans to allow third-party payment systems on its app store, to comply with a law banning major app store operators from forcing software developers to use their payments systems.

서울, 1월 11일 (로이터) - 오늘 한국의 통신 규제 기관은 애플이 주요 앱 스토어 운영자가 소프트웨어 개발자에게 결제시스템을 사용하도록 강요하는 것을 금지하는 법률을 준수하기 위해 앱 스토어에서 타사 결제 시스템을 허용하는 계획을 제출했다고 밝혔습니다.

The Korea Communications Commission (KCC) had requested Apple Inc and Alphabet's Google to submit compliance plans after the bill was passed in August last year. The law went into effect in September.

 

방송통신위원회(KCC)는 지난해 8월 법안이 통과된 후 애플과 알파벳의 구글에 준법계획서 제출을 요청한 바 있다. 이 법은 9월에 발효되었습니다.

Google announced its plans to allow alternative payment systems in South Korea in November to comply with the amended Telecommunication Business Act, dubbed the "anti-Google law https://www.reuters.com/technology/skoreas-parliament-passes-bill-curb-google-apple-commission-dominance-2021-08-31 ".

구글은 지난 11월 한국의 대체 결제 시스템이 전기통신사업법 개정안을 준수하도록 허용할 계획이라고 발표했다.

The KCC said Apple plans to allow alternative payment systems for a lower service fee versus the current 30% commissions.

 

방통위 (KCC)는 애플이 현재의 30% 수수료보다 낮은 서비스 수수료로 대체 결제 시스템을 허용할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
